When low costs and installation speed are pre-eminent requirements, insertion flow meter represents a good compromise between cost and performance.
Like all magnetic meters it can be used for measuring the flow rate of all liquids that have electrical conductivity (a few µS/cm).
It is composed of a probe that is installed in such a way that its axis forms a 90° angle with the axis of the main pipe.
The insertion electromagnetic sensors are built in three models. It can be supplied in compact version only with MC 106 A, MC 306, MC308 (only with housing in ABS)converters.

MC308 converter is available in three different enclosures. ABS enclosure with protection degree IP 67; cast aluminium enclosure with protection degree IP 67; die cast aluminium cylindrical enclosure with protection degree IP 68.
Cylindrical aluminium enclosure may be rotated by 90° around the junction box axis without opening it.
The MC 308 can be delivered either in compact or in separate version. In separate version the maximum distance between sensor and MC308 depends on conductivity of the liquid and the maximum is 100 m.
It has on an LCD display and the keyboard.
